Today I have a real treat for you, which comes in the form of the very first featured session here on my new blog. I will be featuring sessions a couple of times a month, intermixed with some other great posts on a variety of topics.
The Speer family brought their young daughter, Mila in for an “All About Me” children’s session, which incorporates a variety of outfit changes to show off the child’s various interests and the families choice of location.
We held our session at my studio, here in Gibsonia, because, as any Pittsburgh-er knows, there is no predicting the weather in early spring, and being cold and blustery that morning, we were all grateful to be warm and inside. Plus, being at the studio provided lots of flexibility for wardrobe changes and a relaxed setting for the parents while Mila was photographed.
Mila is a livly 3 years old and absolutely loves spending time with her Pappy & Granny. She also loves dogs and was especially excited when she found out that I have two sweet dogs of my own. She happily gave them lots of love when I brought them in for a quick visit. Mila also practices pre-ballet Saturday mornings and was proud to show me some of the various positions and poses that she has learned. As you can see, Mila’s parents, Lauren and Mike, have a very special young lady to raise.
Speaking of parents, Mila’s mom Lauren did a really wonderful job choosing outfits and props for our session.
“Make sure they like their outfits… It helps pick props that either you had a hand in making or something your kid loves.” she said.
I second that!
